Never without it
I have been using Red Cal for several years now. Recently I discovered the bucket was empty and I only had a little scoop left in the bag. I called The Natural Vet and two bags were delivered the next day! Wow! One point I would like to make is that sometimes the horses eat very little and then they eat a whole lot. I really think this helps keep them from foundering. My friend's horse foundered in the fall when the grass changed. Horses will eat Red-cal when these changes in the pasture grass occur in the spring and fall. Thanks Dr. Dan and all those at your place that answer my questions on the phone.

Our horses LOVE Red Cal
We have used Red Cal for several years now, and our horses love it! Since moving to South Carolina, our horses are on pasture grass about 7 months out of the year before we have to supplement with hay. They are free fed Red Cal, and I can hardly keep it in their buckets! They are going through about 25# each month. When we go camping and trail riding, where they work very hard, I mix some in their individual feed bags daily. Never a dehydration problem with any of them. They rattle the buckets on the fence if they are empty. They love their Red Cal, and we are happy to provide them with it!

Red Cal is Awesome!
My horses were 1000 lb beavers, they chewed the bark from the trees and were eating their way through my barn . I had read about Red Cal and was already using bug check so decided to give it a try. At first my boys ate it like candy and I was concerned this would become too costly but after one bag they slowed down and I began to notice they were no longer stripping the trees and chewing the barn !! I also have a horse who would stand and scratch himself raw but no longer, my horses are sleek and shiney. Even though I have to travel across the border to pick up my red cal order,I will continue to do so as it is the one supplement my horses can not do without !

great product!
I love this product and know that my 4 horses are getting what they need. Depending on the weather and with changing weather we see the horses diving into their buckets of red cal and eating what their bodies need.

Red Cal for Foals
I have been using Red Cal for 14 Years. I breed Mountain Pleasure horses and always have this in stock. This past spring when our fourth foal was born it went to the mares corner mineral feeder and start chowing down on Red Cal. I called the office to ask if this was OK. Jessie told me "she must need it". She is a beautiful Red Roan Bay. Big and healthy just like her brothers and sister. I was so happy that she had what she needed in the stall right from the start of her life.

Red Cal
My mare was recently given a diagnoses of reactive airway disease, we got on top of it right away and then I decided that the best thing I could do for her is to help her immune system, I decided on Red Cal because minerals are so important to help the body function as it should and the organic source of minerals makes all the difference. we have not had a relapse and she is doing great. Can't hardly wear her out when riding and she has not had any episodes of shortness of breath

Healthy frogs
I started feeding Red Cal last summer to the two young thoroughbreds that were being boarded at our farm. They're frogs were not in the best condition as the owner neglected their feet. After months of Red Cal, the blacksmith commented on how nice their frogs were looking. They are well formed, and look so solid that it's hard to believe they started out ragged and rough. Thanks to Red Cal for making a big difference.

Red Cal is great
I have been feeding this for over a year- started by a recomendation from a friend. My horses did not want to try it, so I add a pinch with the feed. Now they "dip" into the free feeders as well. I am happy to use this rather than the blocks and then I am sure they are getting what they need and drink enough. NY winters have been warm/cold/frigid/warm again over the past fews years. Having had many colic episodes over the years, I do NOT like colic. This seems to do the trick!
